In situations where you feel there is a lack of money and repeat similar “scarcity mindset” statements, you continually reinforce your lack of abundance. Guess what? The Universe IS fair! It will give you EXACTLY what you have been asking for, which is what you have been saying and feeling (and I know you don’t think you have been asking for blocks in your finances), so read on as I explain the cause.
This is Rocket Science
This isn’t rocket science or maybe it is? The science shows that you can be addicted to your own thoughts and emotions. When you have repetitive thoughts, you’re launching rockets of desires (yes, Abraham-Hicks again) and they are getting answered. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. In this case, it’s the poor conditioning from your childhood that you have unconsciously repeated about your lack or unworthiness of abundance or wealth.
If you want more abundance, you need a lobotomy and your brain dissected. Or better still, how about reprograming yourself for an abundant mindset? Sounds easier – right?
I have seen the exact same patterns of the unconscious (and conscious) thinking with clients and students that manifest into their real-life abundance levels. One girl commented that when she was a child, her father always said: “It will all work out financially, don’t worry.” This programmed her to feel relaxed about money. And as an adult, she says the exact same thing about money, “I don’t worry because it always works out.”
Emotional Addictions Control You
Dr. Candace Pert Ph.D., author of Molecules of Emotion, Everything You Need to Know to Feel Go(o)d and biologist/contributor on What the Bleep Do We Know, discovered that thoughts transform into molecules the moment you think them.
Pert explains that emotions are not merely chemicals in the brain. They are electrochemical signals that affect the chemistry and electricity of every single cell in the body. The body’s electrical state is modulated by emotions, changing the world within the body, which confirms that emotional states affect the world outside of the body.
Her research shows that thinking activates the hypothalamus (a “control center” near the base of the brain) that transforms thought into millions of neuropeptides (amino acids) which represent the dominant emotion associated with that thought. The thought becomes a molecular messenger of emotion then floods the bloodstream with these neuropeptides.
The neuropeptides insert themselves into the cells and interlock with a particular receptacle (custom made for it) on the cell’s membrane. The amino acids are absorbed by the cells and the more times this pathway is created, the more the cells crave the neuropeptides, and instruct the hypothalamus to produce them.
It’s the same as a drug addict; the more these receptacles are used, the less effective they become. The body then produces more “poverty consciousness” receptacles for the damaged and worn out ones. It then requires more neuropeptides to be produced for the “poverty consciousness” receptacles.
Like drugs, it becomes a vicious cycle getting off the merry-go-round to stop the addiction. Your body is craving the feelings you had in childhood of not having enough money.

Getting back to Oprah. Early on in her life, she did not appear to be a likely candidate to attract great wealth, let alone become one of the world’s most influential women. From a young age, Oprah recognised universal laws and would put them into action.
One of her daily routines was to write a gratitude list in her gratitude journal. This created strong daily pathways of feeling abundant and therefore attracted more of the same. Her cells became addicted to feeling grateful for her abundance, no matter how much prosperity she had.

You could manifest a million dollars but if you can’t climb a flight of steps without panting because you are out of shape or have trouble sleeping due to anxiety, then you don’t have abundance.

The zero-sum game of scarcity thinking is unfavorable to creating abundance. You should give even if you also desire wealth. It is a practical aspect of abundance living that has a positive impact on your emotional and psychological well-being.
The act of giving or sharing triggers the release of dopamine. This is responsible for the pleasure sensation and engaging relationships. The feeling good effect that arises from performing an act of kindness will endure long after the act.
Your cells will become addicted to feeling a more meaningful connection and attracting more abundance into your life as you share with others.

Many people link psychology with fixing a bad state of mind. However, you can be perfectly normal and still be eluded by abundance. This is where positive psychology comes in. It is about helping you to thrive instead of just getting by with life.

Abundance thinking is just like a flower in the garden, you must cultivate and nurture it after planting, or it will wilt and die.
